Level-EZE® levelers provide up to 9.5 inches of automatic height adjustment in 3/16-inch increments via precision steel gears. This range accommodates uneven terrain such as stairs, slopes, rooftops, curbs, gravel, and hillsides, eliminating the need for improvised leveling with rocks, boards, or dirt.

When properly installed following Level-EZE® instructions — including cutting the bottom rung as recommended by Underwriters Laboratories — the levelers do not affect the ladder's duty rating or manufacturer warranty. This has been acknowledged by major manufacturers including Werner. The UL cut-rung recommendation maintains the original manufactured ladder length and duty rating.

Installation takes approximately 25 minutes and can be performed as a DIY owner install using the provided instructions and video tutorials available on YouTube. Professional field installation is also available through ladder and tool distributors for a small fee, and factory installation is offered by major ladder manufacturers such as Werner, Louisville, and Bauer.

Level-EZE® adds approximately 4–5 lbs to the ladder (9.5 lbs total leveler weight), significantly less than manual leveler alternatives which typically weigh 8–11 lbs. The lightweight aircraft-quality aluminum housing and corrosion-resistant steel components keep the unit durable without contributing to back strain during transport.

Level-EZE® requires minimal maintenance. Occasional application of dry silicone spray — such as WD-40 Specialist Silicone or a Teflon lubricant — keeps the mechanism operating smoothly. In dusty or dirty environments, clean with pressurized water or air. In icy or snowy conditions, inspect the unit and warm it up before use. Avoid standard WD-40 or grease-based lubricants as they attract debris.
