No. The Level-EZE® does not affect the ladder manufacturer's warranty when properly installed. This has been acknowledged by most major ladder manufacturers, including Werner. UL does recommend cutting the bottom rung during installation to maintain the ladder's original duty rating at its manufactured length.

The Level-EZE® adds only approximately 4–5 lbs to the ladder, compared to manual levelers that typically weigh 8–11 lbs. The total leveler assembly weighs 9.5 lbs. This lightweight construction helps reduce strain and back injury risk for technicians who move and reposition ladders frequently throughout the workday.

While OSHA does not certify individual products, the Level-EZE® meets all ANSI standards for portable extension ladders and has been tested by Underwriters Laboratories at 4x the ladder load rating. OSHA estimates 100% of ladder accidents are preventable with proper training and equipment — the Level-EZE® directly supports that objective by eliminating manual leveling errors.

The Level-EZE® adjusts in 3/16-inch increments via steel gears, offering precise leveling on slopes, stairs, curbs, gravel, and rooftops. It accommodates up to 9.5 inches of height difference between legs. Both legs are connected by an aluminum rod and work in tandem, locking automatically with as little as 9 lbs of applied weight.

Maintenance is minimal. Periodically apply dry silicone spray — such as WD-40 Specialist Silicone or Teflon lubricant — to keep gears moving freely. Avoid standard WD-40 or greases, which attract debris. In high-dust environments, clean with pressurized water or air. In icy or snowy conditions, inspect and warm the unit before use to ensure proper operation.
